Our client is a leading global alternative investment manager with a significant real estate credit business and a diversified portfolio of institutional, fund, and listed investment vehicles.

They are seeking an Associate to join a high-performing Finance and Operations team supporting a multi-billion-dollar real estate debt platform.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the operational management of a large and complex credit investment portfolio, working closely with investment professionals, finance teams, asset managers, and external service providers across international offices.

Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting the operations of a large real estate debt portfolio across a range of fund structures, listed vehicles, managed accounts, and insurance platforms.
  • Coordinating the execution of new investments, financings, and capital markets transactions alongside investment and finance teams.
  • Managing investment funding processes, treasury activity, debt financing arrangements, and foreign exchange considerations.
  • Overseeing credit facility operations, including drawdowns, repayments, covenant monitoring, compliance reporting, and fee calculations.
  • Working with asset management and servicing teams to review interest calculations, cash flows, funding activity, and investor distributions.
  • Reviewing portfolio analytics and operational reporting prepared for senior leadership.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members while helping to drive operational efficiency and process improvements.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Investment Operations experience is a must-have.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3+ years' experience gained within transaction services, private equity, real estate debt, consulting, fund operations, or a related financial services environment.
  • Exposure to real estate and/or alternative investments is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong interest in leveraging technology to improve processes.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA are advantageous.
