Join CFA Institute as our next Director of Corporate Strategy and play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our long-term vision. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Strategy, this high-impact position focuses on strategy formulation, execution planning, and performance measurement. You’ll collaborate across the organization to refine strategic initiatives, develop business cases, and establish key performance metrics that ensure alignment with our global mission.
What You’ll Do
- Strategy Formulation
- Evaluate and interpret strategic opportunities and initiatives.
- Develop both qualitative and quantitative models for assessing potential strategies.
- Apply scenario planning techniques in partnership with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.
- Strategy Planning & Execution
- Refine and implement business case development and approval processes.
- Collaborate with Finance, ERM, PMO, and Technology to ensure strategic alignment and rigor in initiative planning.
- Work with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and regional teams to align local strategies with enterprise goals.
- Strategy Performance & Measurement
- Define and track KPIs that measure success against strategic objectives.
- Identify and apply relevant industry benchmarks.
- Provide clear and concise strategy performance reporting to leadership.
- Pilot Projects
- Design and lead a process for piloting new concepts across the organization.
- Evaluate and integrate successful pilot initiatives into the broader enterprise strategy.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, FP&A, business transformation, or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in business case development and financial analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex information for executive audiences.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams.
- Experience developing materials for executive leadership and boards.
- Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business, finance, strategy, or related field.
- Background in the education, nonprofit, or credentialing sectors.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management principles.

At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position:
- Expected salary Range for US based candidates: $120,000 - $145,000
- Expected salary Range for UK based candidates: ÂŁ90,000 - ÂŁ110,000
Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% pension employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
