About The Role CFA Institute is seeking an Accessibility Specialist (formal title: Associate Manager, Accessibility) to help ensure our learning content meets global accessibility standards. This role plays a key part in reviewing and advising on digital learning materials to enhance usability for all learners. You’ll audit content, identify accessibility issues, recommend improvements, and ensure our learning platforms—such as Canvas—remain compliant and inclusive. This is a hands-on, specialist role where your deep understanding of accessibility standards will directly shape how we deliver inclusive learning. You won’t be writing code or designing interfaces—but your guidance will be critical in identifying issues, advising on improvements, and empowering content teams to get accessibility right from the start. Location: Fully remote eligible (London preferred; US East Coast considered) What You’ll Do Audit digital learning content across formats (PDF, EPUB, LMS) to ensure compliance with WCAG and global standards Identify accessibility issues and provide expert recommendations for remediation Partner with internal teams to embed accessibility principles into content development workflows Stay abreast of evolving accessibility regulations and ensure proactive compliance Maintain accessibility review documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders Serve as the primary accessibility expert within the Education division, driving quality and consistency across platforms What We’re Looking For Proven experience in digital accessibility, ideally within education, EdTech, or a standards-driven environment Mastery of assistive technologies, including screen readers (e.g. JAWS, NVDA), voice recognition, and other accessibility tools — you will be the sole expert in this area Deep expertise and hands-on application of WCAG, Section 508, and related global accessibility guidelines Practical knowledge of Canvas or similar LMS, and content formats including PDF, EPUB, and Microsoft Office with accessibility features Experience advising on accessibility for complex content types (e.g., MathML, accessible equations) Excellent communication skills — able to explain accessibility needs clearly to non-experts and influence without authority Preferred: CPACC or similar accessibility certification Why Join Us? All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on location, experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
