CF Fertilisers UK Limited, a subsidiary of CF Holdings, recognised in 2024 by Forbes in the World’s Best Employer directory, is recruiting a highly motivated Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team. You will work across a wide range of electrical systems, performing routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to ensure safe and reliable plant operation. You will also support installation and commissioning of plant upgrades and improvement projects during normal operations and scheduled turnarounds to maximise plant availability and deliver maintenance on schedule.

Responsibilities
- Installing, inspecting, and testing all types of electrical equipment, including cable containment, wiring, terminals, switches, and conducting functional tests against wiring diagrams.
- Carrying out routine maintenance on control and power distribution panels and electrical systems; performing repairs and reactive maintenance for faults and malfunctions.
- Performing diagnostic tests to locate faults and replacing damaged components.
- Carrying out isolations and de-isolations at LV and HV (on single-ended drives).
- Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required; raising material requests for routine work.
- Inspection and record-keeping or updating as part of a preventive maintenance programme; helping maintain plant drawings and documentation by reporting errors to supervision.
- Participating in training to meet the company’s competency requirements and reviewing/updating Technical Data and manuals.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours on a planned or call-in basis to meet business needs.
- Carry out turnaround maintenance tasks safely, on schedule, and according to work packs, company standards and good practice.
- As required, participate in shutdown Tech Team tasks.
Essential Requirements
- An integral aspect of the electrician is the ability to locate and identify faults in a timely manner to restore plant and equipment to acceptable conditions.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and how CF complies with these through site procedures, rules and expectations.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety risks and related safety standards and regulations.
- Competent Person ‘A’ status under FW66.
- Partially authorised person under the CF HV Rules.
- Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Proficient user of MS Office; strong written and oral communication skills.
