About Surrey Wildlife Trust Surrey Wildlife Trust is the county's leading nature conservation charity, dedicated to protecting and restoring wildlife and wild places across Surrey. The Role As a Membership Fundraiser, you'll engage members of the public in friendly, meaningful conversations, sharing the work of Surrey Wildlife Trust and encouraging people to become members. Working at busy shopping centres, garden centres, country shows, community events and other high-footfall venues, you'll meet a wide variety of people and use your communication and sales skills to inspire support for one of Surrey's most important environmental charities. No two days are the same, and every conversation has the potential to make a lasting impact for nature. What You'll Be Doing * Representing Surrey Wildlife Trust professionally at pre-booked venues and events. * Starting engaging conversations with members of the public. * Communicating the impact of supporting local wildlife conservation. * Building rapport and inspiring people to become regular members. * Consistently achieving individual and team membership targets. * Delivering an outstanding supporter experience with every interaction. * Acting as a positive ambassador for Surrey Wildlife Trust and its values. What We Offer * Realistic on-target earnings of £20+ per hour. * Uncapped commission structure. * Comprehensive campaign induction and ongoing coaching. * The opportunity to work alongside one of the UK's largest wildlife conservation movements. * 6 weeks' annual leave pro rata (including bank holidays). * Contribution towards travel expenses. * Accommodation provided where overnight stays are required. * Full uniform, tablet and all equipment supplied. * A supportive and high-performing team that recognises and rewards success. About You We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys speaking with people and has the confidence to start conversations with members of the public every day. You'll already have experience in a target-driven, customer-facing environment and understand how to build relationships, overcome objections and deliver excellent results. Experience in any of the following would be beneficial: * Field, Direct, Membership, Telecoms or Utility Sales * Charity Fundraising * Retail Sales * Brand Ambassador or Promotional Roles * Hospitality or other customer-facing roles with performance targets You'll Also Be: * Friendly, approachable and engaging. * Confident communicating with people from all walks of life. * Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets. * Resilient, positive and professional. * Passionate about wildlife, conservation and the outdoors. * Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team. * Available to work Friday to Sunday. * A full UK driving licence holder with access to your own vehicle.
