Location: Norwich but supporting across Norfolk

Do you want to work 1:1 and make a real difference? Opportunities are available at CF Education. Must have experience of UK curriculum, ability to travel, own a suitable vehicle with business insurance and breakdown cover, and have a minimum of two days' availability per week. A First Aid qualification is also desirable.

This is a tutoring role; you will be working one-to-one to your own timetable. Based outside the classroom in a quiet community setting, or in the young person's home, you will have the opportunity to develop an excellent rapport with your pupils.

CF Education is recruiting qualified and unqualified Teachers, HLTAs and Tutors with SEN experience to work on a self-employed basis across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Northampton. We will consider applications from those with experience working with young people in other roles. CF Education support children from across all key stages who have various needs including SEMH, ASD and ADHD.

We are looking for candidates with an understanding of SEN and Mental Health, with successful approaches to teaching and behaviour management developed through previous experience of working with pupils who struggle in a classroom environment. We expect our tutors to be patient, dynamic, resourceful, and resilient, and reflective within their own practice.

There is a requirement to plan personalised lessons and activities based upon individual pupils' needs to ensure progress is maximised. Friendliness and warmth are also required to build successful relationships with our pupils and their families along with a sense of humour too!

We offer bespoke education packages and 1:1 tutoring for cases referred to us by local authorities or other agencies.

These are young people who are excluded from school; at risk of exclusion from school; and school refusers. We also work with those whose education is being disrupted by domestic circumstances, injury or ill health, and young people who are at risk of straying into criminality or already caught up in the criminal justice system. When emergency provision is called for, we can offer a fast and effective response.

We have a team of qualified Teachers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, Social Workers, Social Work Assistants and Youth Mentors. A rigorous recruitment process, in which safeguarding is central, ensures that our staff have the breadth of expertise and professional commitment to guarantee achievement for vulnerable young people in a culture of unconditional positive regard, confidentiality and safety.

Our tutors can support all ages, from children preparing to take the national tests at key stages 1 and 2 through to those preparing for their GCSEs.

Salary: Is in line with Teachers, Unqualified Teachers & Support Staff pay scales, in accordance with qualifications and experience. This is a term-time only position, without guaranteed hours, on a self-employed contract. You will be paid for your timetabled hours (unless cancellation notice is received). Pay: £15 - £35 per hour.

Travel requirements are a core part of the role as our cases are spread across several Local Authorities. CF Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and students to share this commitment.
