Your Missions
Reporting to the Swine Business Unit Director, the Veterinary Services Specialist is responsible for acting as a Technical Expert regarding Ceva’s Swine Product Portfolio across UK & IE, responding to product-related questions and issues, thereby supporting Ceva’s Swine Team towards successful outcomes in Veterinary Services. Building a strong network of Professionals and Key Stakeholders within the industry. Responsible for the continuous monitoring of products & technical communication.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact in the field, providing effective technical support, following up on product deployments, and generating evidence of product success.
- Review and update the UK/IE Swine Team during monthly meetings.
- Collaborate in the creation of technical articles.
- Maintain positive relationships with Customers through regular visits, events and/or video calls.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and demonstrate responsiveness by scheduling visits immediately and taking the necessary actions to resolve reported issues.
- Conduct regular visits to Customers and provide professional consultations; communicate with Customers weekly or monthly (depending on monitored results), and plan annual reviews for more detailed analysis/feedback.
- Provide technical and scientific advice to Customer and Sales personnel.
- Attend trainings, congresses, seminars, and corporate-led events in areas of professional expertise.
- Self‑train on new technical updates to maintain high levels of expertise and share this knowledge with the team.
- Develop technical training activities with the objective of sharing this knowledge with Customers.
Scientific Expertise Management and Networking
- Maintain networks with Animal Health institutes, laboratories, universities, Key Opinion Leaders, equipment suppliers, etc., to stay updated on new technologies.
- Provide diagnostics and expert support as needed.

- Ability to initiate, plan, prioritize, execute and participate in close teamwork in order to achieve objectives and meet specific success criteria at defined milestones.
- Prepare Customer technical meetings.
- Plan activities as a key Swine team member, to support and ensure successful achievement of planned milestones.
Customer Knowledge:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Customer’s technical needs.
Scientific Approach And Expertise
- Ability to conduct research/analysis on scientific innovations and developments.
- Capability to ensure consistent monitoring of results and knowledge management across Ceva, aligned with the corporate swine strategy.
Scientific Trials and Knowledge Management
- Ability to analyse data and design, plan, and conduct trials using scientific approaches (e.g., developing and testing hypotheses).
Communication And Presentation Skills
- Ability to communicate technical information efficiently and effectively, adapting to different audiences and situations as required.
- Demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence, the ability to capture audience attention, and the use of available technology to enhance message delivery.
