Your Missions

  • Reporting to the Northern Europe Poultry Business Unit Manager, the Layer Lead is responsible for the strategy and direction of the layer range, working closely with the Business Unit Manager, Poultry Veterinary Services and Poultry Vaccination Services teams.
  • Sales and profitability of the layer range, working closely with the Business Unit Manager, Poultry Veterinary Services and Poultry Vaccination Services teams.
  • Act as the interface between the local and Corporate Franchise teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the layer range to ensure its promotion, growth of sales and profitability.
  • Create and implement the layer marketing plan with defined KPIs.
  • Responsible for the segmentation of customers (e.g. layer companies and prescribing vets), analyse Ceva’s and competitors market penetration.
  • Identify and target major Rearing and Layer companies, with their vets, to grow Ceva’s layer product sales.
  • Manage 1 to 3 local Key Layer Accounts (e.g. EWG and major layer customers) to build sustainable relationships with Key Customers and the decision-making stakeholders within each account.
  • Develop robust Account Business Plans for the KA (EWG), and develop plans for the major layer customers and review them on a regular basis in order to adjust the Account Plan, as needed, and promote maximum effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with global and local Poultry Veterinary Services to find creative and innovative approaches to grow a sustainable layer business.
  • Differentiating Ceva offerings, to create long term mutual value for Ceva and the customers based upon their needs.
  • Gather market intelligence, analyse Ceva data, develop relationships with KOL, enabling making the most of market opportunities.
  • Manage forecasting and supply of layer products with UK supply team.
  • Manage Marketing and Technical budgets relating to layer range.

Your Profile

  • Customer knowledge: Field experience, with a very good knowledge of the veterinary issues/breeders/livestock processes and economics.
  • Networking and developing relationships with KOL.
  • Poultry diseases and diagnosis knowledge.
  • Market knowledge & business acumen.
  • Negotiation & closing skills.
  • Communication & presentation skills: ability to speak to an internal or external audience.
  • Strategic planning & value co-creation: ability to create Strategic Plans by accurately anticipating future trends/consequences, and thereby provide a clear and long-term Vision.
  • Mastery of computer tools (Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft environment and CRM tools.
  • Encourage team spirit with colleagues and encourage cross-functional working within the UK and Corporate teams.
