Are you a skilled warehouse professional with strong leadership experience? We are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at our busy, multi-use site in Daventry.
Due to continued growth and the onboarding of a new client, this is an exciting time to join the operation. In this key role, you will lead and support a diverse team of warehouse colleagues, ensuring smooth shift operations, high performance, and exceptional service delivery to our customers.
This is a Monday to Friday role, with flexibility required to meet the operational needs of the business.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation by leading, motivating, and developing a team of warehouse colleagues within their designated area. You will be responsible for driving performance, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
You will lead by example, creating a positive and inclusive working environment where colleagues feel supported, engaged, and accountable. This includes managing daily staffing levels, supporting absence and leave processes, leading performance conversations, and encouraging continuous development across the team. You will ensure all site policies and procedures are followed at all times, actively challenge unsafe behaviours, and support the reporting and investigation of incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented where required.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will proactively manage shift activities, resolve operational issues as they arise, and work collaboratively with other departments to maintain smooth and efficient operations. You will also take ownership of customer fulfilment within your area, ensuring orders are processed accurately, on time, and in line with agreed service levels. You will contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, service quality, and team performance.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment. You will bring strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a small team to consistently achieve high standards of performance and productivity. You will have hands-on experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
You will have a results-focused approach, along with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines and operational targets. You will have excellent people skills to build a positive team culture, handle performance conversations confidently, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
