Our growing Customs team based in Felixstowe is looking for a Customs Coordinator to support with customs clearances for our Aerospace customers. You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise through the UK Customs Academy, with full support to complete your Level 2 qualification. This role follows a Monday to Friday shift pattern, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:30.

What are you going to do?

  • Accurately complete import and export customs declarations in accordance with customer instructions and current regulations.
  • Ensure all job files are maintained and updated with precise data entry into customs systems.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer queries, ensuring all issues are addressed and resolved within 24 hours.
  • Ensure accurate filing, archiving, and maintenance of all Import and Export documentation.
  • Maintain full compliance with all relevant documentation standards and ensure updates are accurately reflected across CEVA systems.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to support regulatory compliance, foster account growth, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support and participate in compliance audits.
  • Stay up to date with HMRC and other statutory requirements to ensure compliance.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will need to come with experience working in a Customs or Import role and be confident working in a role that services a large and varied customer base. You will need to understand and implement best practice within your role to ensure compliance is maintained, being proactive and efficient in your communication with customers, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will also be IT literate, comfortable using different systems to process customs entries, and able to quickly adapt to new software and tools while ensuring precise and accurate data handling.
