CEVA Logistics has been awarded a major new contract with a high-profile client, marking an exciting phase of growth for the business expanding on our ecommerce offering. This is a new build implementation offering exciting opportunities across contract logistics.
As a result, we have an excellent role for a Night Shift Team Leader to support the safe, accurate and efficient receipt of inbound goods and outbound activities within a high-volume ecommerce operation. This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for someone looking to progress their operational career while playing a key role in protecting inventory, accuracy, safety, productivity and downstream flow activities. This is a fixed night shift working Monday to Friday, 10pm to 6am.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Lead warehouse associates across allocated work areas (unloading, decant, goods-in, pick, sortation, loading and dispatch)
- Allocate tasks and manage workflow to maintain steady inbound throughput and outbound flow
- Ensure volumes are processed accurately, safely and on time
- Reinforce safety, standard work and quality checks at all times
- Escalate issues, delays or constraints to the Night Shift Manager promptly
- Provide regular coaching, guidance and supervision to associates
- Support onboarding, training and buddying of new starters
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping and basic performance issues
- Contribute to structured shift handovers and accurate reporting
- Identify inefficiencies and supporting continuous improvement activity
- Support the Night Shift Manager with any additional tasks as and when required
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Experience of working in a warehousing or logistics environment
- Experience of leading, supporting and coaching operational teams
- Exposure to inbound or outbound operations (unload, goods-in, pick, pack, sort and dispatch)
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a calm and supportive leadership style
- Basic WMS or scanning system experience
- Exposure to lean or continuous improvement approaches
- Proven experience of high-volume or peak operations
- Experience of working in an ecommerce environment
