Overview
Driver Apprentice – Night Shift at CEVA Logistics in Greater Manchester. You will gain both a Class 1 and Class 2 license alongside your driver CPC and learn valuable life skills to help you with your future career within Transport and Logistics.
£12.26 per hour + unsocial hourly rate.
What you will do
- Start your driving career as part of a contract dedicated to customer deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered to correct locations with accurate completion of paperwork.
- Work with a more experienced team member to develop understanding of job responsibilities and expectations.
- First complete your Class 2 license and work your way up to earning your Class 1 license.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects and ensure full compliance.
What we are looking for
In order to qualify for apprenticeship funding, applicants must have resided in the UK for more than 3 consecutive years. You must also fit the following criteria:
- Hold a full UK Driving License
- No points on your license
- Flexibility for shift work
- Willingness to take on new challenges and learn
- Grades C/4 or above in Maths and English are desirable but not essential; if you do not currently have the required grades you’ll work towards acquiring them as part of your apprenticeship.
