CEVA Logistics are seeking an AOG Operator to play a critical role within our Aerospace logistics operation, ensuring urgent aircraft parts and materials are transported worldwide as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise aircraft downtime. This is a highly dynamic, time critical role requiring exceptional communication skills and the ability to coordinate complex multimodal logistics solutions across air, road, import and export movements. Working with airlines, MROs, engineers, suppliers and global logistics partners, you will help return grounded aircraft to service while delivering outstanding customer support.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As an AOG Airfreight Operator, you will manage urgent aircraft-related shipments from order receipt through to final delivery, ensuring every movement is executed with speed, accuracy and precision. You will identify and secure the most effective transport solutions, including Next Flight Out (NFO), on-board courier (hand-carry), express services, charters and dedicated road transport. Working within a global network, you will coordinate collections, export handling, customs clearance requirements, airline uplifts and final delivery to engineers, airports or maintenance facilities. You will take ownership of shipment tracking and monitoring, proactively managing exceptions and resolving disruptions to maintain service continuity. When delays occur, you will identify alternative solutions and communicate recommendations quickly to customers and stakeholders. Prepare and verify all import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, export controls and industry requirements relating to highly controlled aerospace components. Working closely with suppliers, OEMs, freight partners, warehouses and operational teams, you will confirm stock availability, dispatch readiness and transit plans, ensuring critical shipments move without delay. A key aspect of the role is maintaining continuous communication with customers and internal stakeholders, providing accurate updates, managing expectations and delivering exceptional service in high pressure situations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in this role, you will have experience within airfreight, freight forwarding, aerospace logistics or another time-critical logistics environment. You will possess a strong understanding of international airfreight operations, including air waybills, airline routings, express services, cargo handling and global transportation networks. Experience managing import and export shipments would be highly beneficial. Be highly organised and capable of making confident decisions under pressure while managing multiple urgent shipments simultaneously. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential, as you will regularly need to identify alternative solutions when operational challenges arise. Knowledge of customs procedures, export controls, HS codes and global trade compliance requirements would be advantageous, particularly within aerospace or highly regulated industries. Excellent communication skills are critical, with the ability to coordinate effectively across different countries, cultures and time zones while maintaining professional customer relationships. Most importantly, you will thrive in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoy the challenge of delivering solutions when every minute counts. Due to the nature of the role and security clearance requirements it is essential for the successful candidate to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
