Your role

Our aerospace operation based in Barton-under-Needwood (as referenced in internal materials) provides specialist logistics and supply chain solutions. We have an exciting opportunity for a practiced and detail-driven Aerospace Quality Inspector. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure our products meet the highest standards through precise and thorough inspections, supporting us in exceeding operational targets and delivering excellence.

This role typically involves Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (hours can be discussed).

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Aerospace Inspections Manager, you will:

  • Ensure quality inspections are completed on inbound and outbound deliveries, measuring and inspecting parts against relevant technical drawings and specifications.
  • Verify that parts and products meet airworthiness and quality standards, and capture and prevent non-conforming stock from entering the supply chain.
  • Visually inspect parts with high attention to detail using first-principles methods, tools, and auditing processes aligned with industry standards and regulatory controls.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal colleagues; capture and escalate issues, document and implement solutions to mitigate future risks; work in a compliant manner to ensure products and parts meet correct specifications with no compromise to quality.

What are we looking for? (Qualifications)

  • Proven mechanical engineering qualification or NVQ level 3 in engineering
  • Proven experience in a quality inspection role
  • Experience using a variety of engineering and measuring equipment
  • Experience in dimensional measurements and the ability to interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels

Desirable, but not essential: proven experience in the aerospace/aviation industry.
