Principal Chartered Structural Engineer | Lead & Grow a Structural Engineering Division | North West England Salary - Negotiable DOE Ceto Talent is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Principal Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and develop its Structural Engineering division.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to step into a strategic leadership role, taking ownership of an established team while driving the future growth of the department.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll play a key role in shaping the business, expanding its project portfolio and leading the delivery of high-quality structural engineering solutions across the North West and beyond.
What you'll be doing: β Leading and managing the Structural Engineering team on a day-to-day basis. β Driving the growth and development of the structural division as part of the company's long-term strategy. β Leading the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. β Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians. β Undertaking structural surveys and providing expert engineering advice. β Preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings and technical specifications. β Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. β Supporting business development activities and helping to secure new opportunities. β Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
We're looking for someone with: βοΈ At least 15 years' UK structural engineering experience. βοΈ Chartered Engineer status (MIStruct E and/or MICE). βοΈ Previous experience leading structural engineering teams within a consultancy environment. βοΈ Strong technical expertise across both superstructure and substructure design. βοΈ Excellent communication, leadership and client relationship skills. βοΈ A proactive commercial mindset with the ability to support business growth and develop client relationships. βοΈ A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
