About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of WINEP (Water Industry National Environment Programme) schemes on projects located near Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering critical water infrastructure improvements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of projects involving the installation of odour control systems and booster pumping systems, ensuring works are completed to programme, budget, and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of construction activities on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
- Oversee the installation of odour control systems and booster pumping systems.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular health and safety inspections.
- Monitor project progress against programme and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained and completed works meet client specifications.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, stakeholders, and the wider project team.
- Manage site documentation, including permits, inspections, daily diaries, and progress reports.
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and maintain productivity.
- Ensure environmental and water industry standards are adhered to throughout the project.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Manager within the UK water industry.
- Experience delivering WINEP schemes or similar water infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of odour control systems, booster installations, or mechanical and electrical (M&E) works within the water sector.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.

- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS Card (Manager Level)
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications/certification
- Full UK Driving Licence
