Rate: £700 > £900 per day (via umbrella)

Ceto Talent is representing a Tier 1 Infrastructure Contractor delivering a major civil engineering infrastructure project across the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale transmission infrastructure programme involving access roads, civil engineering works and associated infrastructure supporting a major power network reinforcement project. This is a long-term opportunity for a senior civil engineering professional with strong Design & Build project experience who can lead teams through design development, construction planning and project delivery.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of civil engineering infrastructure and access road works across a major section of the project. The role will involve managing design interfaces, construction readiness activities, programme development, resource planning and ultimately supporting the transition into full construction delivery. You will work closely with engineering, commercial, planning, environmental and construction teams whilst maintaining regular communication with client representatives and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of civil engineering infrastructure and access road works
  • Manage design development and coordinate design partners
  • Drive construction readiness and mobilisation activities
  • Review and approve construction methodologies, RAMS and ITPs
  • Manage programme, budget and productivity performance
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and technical challenges
  • Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams
  • Report progress and performance to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Experience working on Linear Transportation Power/Highways Projects
  • Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Valid Managers CSCS Card / SMSTS
  • Significant experience delivering major civil engineering infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of Design & Build project delivery background
  • Experience managing large construction teams and subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of programme management and project controls
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
