Shape the Future of London's Built Environment

CETO Talent is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure organisation for experienced Building Surveyors, Building Engineers and Design Managers to support the delivery of major built environment renewal and infrastructure programmes across London.

We're looking to speak with professionals who can combine strong technical expertise with Design Management and Project Engineering experience, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensuring complex projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with robust engineering assurance processes.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure assets within a collaborative engineering environment.

The Role

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll coordinate design activities, manage engineering interfaces and support the delivery of building renewal and asset improvement projects throughout the full project lifecycle. Acting as the technical focal point, you'll ensure engineering outputs are coordinated, compliant and delivered to programme while supporting engineering assurance and stakeholder engagement.

We're interested in candidates currently working as Building Surveyors, Building Engineers, Senior Architects, Design Managers, Project Engineers or Engineering Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary design coordination
  • Manage engineering assurance activities
  • Review technical documentation
  • Support asset management and lifecycle planning
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines
  • Attend design reviews and site inspections
  • Identify technical risks
  • Develop practical engineering solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation, technical standards and industry best practice

You'll also work closely with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

About You

We're looking for candidates with experience in Building Surveying, Building Engineering, Design Management, Project Engineering, Asset Management, Infrastructure Renewals, Building Refurbishment or Construction Engineering. You should have experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering or design teams, a strong understanding of building legislation and technical standards, experience delivering projects through design, construction, operation or maintenance, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Previous experience working within rail, transport or major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Qualifications

Applicants should ideally hold, or be working towards, a recognised professional qualification such as MRICS, FRICS, MCIOB, MCABE or ARB Registered Architect status. Equivalent experience within the built environment will also be considered.

What's on Offer?

This opportunity offers rates of up to £599.95 per day (Umbrella), a long-term contract, hybrid working with approximately 50% home working, exposure to nationally significant infrastructure programmes and the opportunity to work within a highly experienced multidisciplinary engineering team delivering complex building and asset renewal projects.

Location

The role is based in Blackfriars, London, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes office attendance, home working and occasional site visits across London.
