Supervisor – Repetitive Works Location: Thames Valley Region Job Type: Full-time Industry: Water / Utilities / Infrastructure The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to join a busy water infrastructure team, overseeing the successful delivery of a range of water mains renewal schemes across the Thames Valley region. This is a hands-on site-based role, responsible for coordinating site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards and within programme. The successful candidate will have previous experience within the water, utilities or infrastructure sector, with a strong understanding of site operations, health and safety, quality and the practical delivery of mains renewal works. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily site operations to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of water main replacement and renewal works. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and resources to maintain programme and productivity. Ensure materials, plant and equipment are procured and delivered to site in a timely manner to prevent delays. Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, carrying out regular site inspections and promoting a positive safety culture. Liaise with clients, local authorities, suppliers and internal teams, providing regular updates and resolving issues effectively. Lead, motivate and support site personnel, creating a collaborative and productive working environment. Monitor project milestones and maintain accurate site records, reporting progress, risks and potential delays to management. Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards and relevant industry requirements. Carry out inspections and maintain appropriate quality control documentation. Respond quickly and effectively to site issues, logistical challenges and unforeseen delays. Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and working practices. Monitor site expenditure and resources, supporting the commercial team with effective budgetary control. Ensure all activities comply with relevant company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. About You We are looking for a confident and organised Site Supervisor who can effectively manage people, resources and competing priorities in a busy operational environment. You will ideally have: Experience supervising infrastructure projects, preferably within water, utilities or civil engineering. A strong understanding of water network operations, water distribution systems and service continuity requirements. Experience managing site teams and subcontractors. Good knowledge of health and safety, quality and environmental requirements. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, utility plans and project specifications. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a practical approach to resolving site issues. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers, local authorities and operational teams. Experience coordinating the delivery of materials, plant and equipment to site. Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Essential Qualifications * Full UK driving licence. * Water Hygiene. * NRSWA Unit 10 – Backfilling and Reinstatement, or equivalent. * Cable Avoidance / Safe Digging. * First Aid. Desirable Qualifications * Temporary Works Supervisor. * Slinger/Signaller. * NPORS Traffic Marshall / Banksman. Additional Information * This is a site-based position covering projects throughout the Thames Valley region. * Occasional travel and attendance at external meetings will be required. * The role may occasionally require working outside standard hours to meet project requirements. * Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced infrastructure environment and managing changing site priorities.
