Quantity Surveyor – Major Energy Infrastructure Project
Location: Talacre, North Wales
Contract: Negotiable Day Rate | Outside IR35 | 12+ Month Contract
On Site: 5.5 Days
Ceto Talent is supporting a leading EPC contractor delivering complex onshore and offshore energy projects. We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a landmark Carbon Capture project in Liverpool Bay, a true UK-first within the energy transition space.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for applying the project Management and Construction Information Systems used to control construction quantities. This includes supporting planning activities, tracking progress, recording installed quantities, contributing to quality checks, and overseeing financial reporting of works, ensuring full alignment with project specifications and company procedures. You’ll take ownership of quantity and cost control activities across construction, working closely with site and commercial teams to ensure financial accuracy, subcontractor performance visibility, and contract compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and managing the Bill of Quantities in line with invoicing procedures
- Tracking actual quantities and measuring active and passive progress
- Monitoring subcontractor manhours, equipment usage and dayworks
- Supporting change management, new price build-ups and Change Work Orders
- Preparing quantity management reports and cost forecasts to completion
- Certifying subcontractor works for payment and accountability
- Supporting claims assessment and commercial negotiations
- Assisting budgeting activities based on IFC drawings
- Identifying risks and opportunities linked to subcontractor performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
- Proven experience as a QS within Oil & Gas or heavy industrial energy projects
- Strong understanding of subcontract management and change processes
- UK right to work (no sponsorship available)
