Are you a skilled Project Manager with a passion for the railway industry? Our client, a key player in delivering innovative railway development projects, is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary railway projects, working alongside diverse teams and ensuring excellent client relationships. Purpose of the Role: As Project Manager, you will be the main point of contact for clients, holding responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of projects. This includes managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. You will lead the project team, drawing on internal and external resources to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Project Delivery: Plan, develop, and supervise the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet agreed targets for time, cost, and quality. * Client Liaison: Act as the principal client contact, maintaining strong relationships, responding to client concerns, and providing regular progress updates. * Risk Management: Proactively manage risks and obstacles, bringing in third-party expertise as required to ensure successful project delivery. * Team Leadership: Lead and guide the project team throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring collaboration and clear communication. * Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements, including health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. * Cost & Change Control: Monitor project costs, manage change control procedures, and ensure invoices are issued regularly. * Health & Safety Documentation: Review and approve relevant safety documentation, ensuring compliance with agreed plans during implementation. * Project Handover: Oversee the close-out of projects, ensuring formal handover and the completion of the Health & Safety file. Skills & Experience: * Experience: Proven experience in managing complex railway or infrastructure projects. * Client Relationship Management: Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to manage client expectations and maintain satisfaction. * Leadership: Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring successful project delivery. * Knowledge: Solid understanding of health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the construction and rail industry. * Risk & Cost Management: Ability to identify project risks, manage changes, and ensure financial oversight. Additional Information: * Standard Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. * Weekend Work: Occasional weekend work may be required based on project requirements. * Reporting To: Head of Programme Controls * Responsible For: A project team including Assistant Project Manager, Commercial Manager, Construction Manager, and two Field Engineers.
