£35.74 per hour (Umbrella)
Day shift: Monday–Thursday 07:15–15:15, Friday 07:15–12:15 (35 hours per week)
Our client, a major organisation within London’s public transport network, is seeking a Production Scheduler to join their engineering operations team based in Acton Town. This is a key position ensuring that materials, workflows, and schedules align seamlessly with train production and fleet maintenance requirements.
You’ll be working closely with teams across the business, from the office to the shop floor, to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets, including recording train data and serial numbers
- Use SAP to:
- Check stock and material availability
- Raise pick lists and production work orders
- Create despatch orders and shopping carts
- Enter timesheet allocations
- Proven experience in production scheduling or materials planning (ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or transport operations)
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable working in both office and shop floor environments
- Confident communicator with a proactive and methodical approach
