Ceto Talent is representing a global offshore EPCI construction contractor on a major decommissioning project. We are supporting a well-established global offshore EPCI construction contractor, delivering complex offshore installation and decommissioning projects across the energy sector. This role sits within a major offshore decommissioning programme, focused on platform removal and heavy lift activities. You will play a key role in both methodology development and offshore execution, supporting ongoing works and upcoming project phases.
Purpose of the position
As Offshore Methods (Removal) Lead / Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Offshore Methods Manager and be part of a major North Sea Decommissioning Project. You will ensure that all Methods engineering activities are properly and correctly managed, either directly or through subordinate staff, during the decommissioning phase. You will coordinate the activities of the method engineering group assigned, managing tasks and workload while providing both technical and administrative guidance.
How can you support us?
- Organise and coordinate the activities of the method engineering group, ensuring objectives are effectively and economically achieved
- Administer the working programme in line with plans, design and specifications
- Be responsible for the interpretation, implementation and improvement of design solutions
- Monitor and coordinate all phases of work progress, reviewing procedures, reports and calculations from engineers
- Ensure deliverables, equipment, facilities and services meet specified requirements
- Coordinate with vessel-based technical teams, supporting installation and advising vessel management on technical matters
- Ensure all installation records and checklists are completed and issued to QC for compilation
- Organise and participate in design reviews to define optimal installation methodologies
- Attend site during onshore preparation to ensure readiness and compliance
- Support critical offshore operations, ensuring execution aligns with methodology and capturing lessons learned
- Participate in offshore campaigns as a field engineer when required
What are we looking for?
Degree qualified in Engineering (structural, naval or mechanical preferred). Proven experience as a Methods Engineer / Senior Project Engineer within offshore removal or decommissioning. Strong background in oil.
