Ceto Talent is proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing design consultancy working at the forefront of major projects in the UK water and utilities sector. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, we’re looking to speak with experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers ready to make a real impact.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working available)

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP

  • Lead the delivery of mechanical design packages, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
  • Produce detailed design calculations and technical drawings for water and wastewater projects
  • Manage and support junior engineers and CAD technicians
  • Oversee and coordinate with subcontract M&E design teams
  • Engage with equipment suppliers, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support project meetings and design presentations
  • Provide accurate estimates for design hours and project scope

Requirements:

  • Extensive mechanical design experience within the water sector (clean and/or wastewater)
  • Strong hydraulic design knowledge
  • Understanding of electrical/control systems and construction methods
  • Degree or HND in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and drawing practices
