Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, we’re looking to speak with experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers ready to make a real impact.
Location: Manchester (Hybrid working available)
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP
- Lead the delivery of mechanical design packages, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
- Produce detailed design calculations and technical drawings for water and wastewater projects
- Manage and support junior engineers and CAD technicians
- Oversee and coordinate with subcontract M&E design teams
- Engage with equipment suppliers, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Support project meetings and design presentations
- Provide accurate estimates for design hours and project scope
Requirements:
- Extensive mechanical design experience within the water sector (clean and/or wastewater)
- Strong hydraulic design knowledge
- Understanding of electrical/control systems and construction methods
- Degree or HND in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficiency in industry-standard software and drawing practices
