CETO Talent is recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner with a background in engineering, construction, rail, water or infrastructure who enjoys working closely with project teams to develop, manage and monitor project programmes from project inception through to successful delivery.
Working alongside Project Managers, Design Managers and technical specialists, you will play a key role in ensuring projects remain on programme, identifying risks early and supporting successful project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 while supporting multiple engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing project schedules
- Monitoring progress against programme
- Producing regular progress reports
- Identifying critical path activities
- Supporting resource planning and forecasting
- Assisting with tender programmes
- Attending project meetings
- Providing planning advice
- Ensuring programme information remains accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have previous experience as a Project Planner, Planning Engineer or Project Controls professional within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities or a similar environment. You should have experience using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 together with excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills. The successful candidate will be confident working with multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience within the rail, water, utilities or civil engineering sectors would be highly desirable but is not essential.
