We are seeking skilled Mechanical or Electrical Project Engineers to join our team on a permanent basis, supporting the delivery of MEICA works across key South East Water projects. This is an excellent opportunity to become a long-term part of a growing engineering team delivering essential water and wastewater infrastructure improvements across the region.
As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure engineering activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of MEICA works on water and wastewater projects.
- Manage mechanical or electrical design reviews, procurement processes, and installation activities.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed in line with programme, budget, and specification.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Assist with project planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Attend site meetings, progress updates, and client briefings.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, technical submissions, and method statements.
- Work closely with site supervisors and construction teams to resolve technical and engineering issues.
- Experience as a Project Engineer within water, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- MEICA experience within water/wastewater treatment projects is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of site delivery and subcontractor coordination.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CSCS card preferred.
- SMSTS or similar site-management training beneficial.
- £55,000 salary (dependent on experience)
