Ceto Talent is recruiting multiple Registered Building Inspectors (Class 3H) for a major regulatory authority to contribute to the development and implementation of the new building safety regulatory regime. This remote role offers the opportunity to shape policy, technical standards and provide expert building control advice.
What We’re Looking For
- Class 3H Building Inspector registration (Essential - English competency)
- Extensive experience in building control and building regulations
- Proven expertise in regulatory frameworks and compliance
- Strong understanding of Gateway decisions and golden thread information
- Experience with Safety Case Report assessments
- Knowledge of Dutyholder compliance requirements under the new regulatory regime
- Ability to provide specialist technical advice to multidisciplinary teams
- Experience contributing to policy development and technical standards
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- BPSS security clearance (or ability to obtain)
About the Role
This Registered Building Inspector (Class 3H) contract offers the opportunity to work on the implementation of the new building safety regulatory regime, providing specialist expertise to support Gateway applications, Safety Case Reports, and enforcement cases. You’ll contribute to shaping the future of building control in the UK whilst working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and review of policy, technical standards and guidance related to building control and building regulations
- Provide expert advice to inform regulatory frameworks and operational guidance
- Advise on building control processes interacting with Gateway decisions, golden thread information and occupation stage duties
- Provide specialist building control expertise to multidisciplinary teams convened for Gateway 2 applications
- Support Safety Case Report assessments and contribute to investigations and enforcement cases
- Assist technical policy teams internally and externally at relevant meetings
- Ensure Dutyholder compliance under the new regulatory regime
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the building safety sector
- Provide technical guidance on complex building control matters
