Ceto Talent is recruiting for a Mechanical Operations Assistant to join a busy engineering team supporting maintenance, assembly and operational activities within a highly technical environment.
This is a practical, hands-on role working alongside Mechanical Technicians and Fitters, supporting the upkeep, improvement and installation of specialist equipment.
About You
- Experience within a mechanical, electrical, industrial or engineering environment.
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Experience working to Method Statements or Safe Systems of Work.
- Comfortable carrying out hands-on engineering and maintenance support activities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent IT skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Mechanical Technicians and Fitters with maintenance and modification activities.
- Assisting with assembly, installation and engineering support tasks.
- Moving, storing and managing materials and equipment safely.
- Maintaining clean, organised and safe work areas.
- Carrying out routine checks on tools and equipment.
- Supporting testing, maintenance and documentation activities.
- Liaising with other teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Following site safety procedures and reporting hazards.
Desirable
- Experience within engineering workshops, industrial facilities or construction environments.
- Exposure to maintenance, assembly or mechanical fitting activities.
- Experience handling engineering materials, tools and equipment.
