Ceto Talent is proud to be representing a leading Tier 1 Energy EPC contractor delivering a major energy construction project. We are seeking an experienced Field Environmental Manager to join the Environmental Team supporting construction and environmental compliance activities on this nationally significant energy transition project.
As Field Environmental Manager you will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the Company HSE guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of environmental, health and safety requirements across onshore and offshore construction activities, ensuring full implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and supporting project HSE objectives.
- Review, monitor and audit Subcontractor compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation, project requirements, environmental permits, and company HSE standards.
- Manage site environmental and health & safety issues, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, controlled and reported in accordance with project procedures.
- Interface and work closely with Clients, Subcontractors, Regulatory Authorities, Environmental Agencies and HSE stakeholders to ensure environmental and health & safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead, mentor and coordinate the Environmental team, promoting a strong environmental, health and safety culture across all project activities.
- Coordinate and communicate with the Environmental Agency, local authorities, internal company departments and external stakeholders regarding environmental performance, compliance and health & safety matters.
- Perform environmental and HSE project activities including ENVID studies, environmental risk assessments, environmental management plans, environmental reporting, health & safety reporting, incident investigations, environmental investigations and data analysis.
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health and safety procedures, controls and monitoring programmes.
- Complete onsite environmental and health & safety activities including audits, inspections, compliance assessments, training sessions, toolbox talks, environmental monitoring and site reporting.
- Monitor environmental performance indicators, health & safety metrics, waste management activities, pollution prevention measures and corrective actions to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
- Ensure environmental protection, workforce health & safety, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all construction and operational activities.
- BEng or BSc majoring in Environmental or similar
- Proven experience in offshore and onshore projects with team-leading activities
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
