We’re looking for an engineer who enjoys a mix of workshop‑based and field work — someone who can maintain, service, and repair generators, tanks, cables, BSUs, and distribution boards both in our depots and out at our customers' sites. With your strong communication skills and technical expertise, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment performs at its best, keeping power flowing for our valued customers across a variety of industries.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of generators, tanks, cables, BSUs, and distribution boards to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, providing practical solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Safely travel to customer sites to perform planned and reactive work, delivering excellent customer service and technical support.
  • Rapidly deploy and install road tow generators to customer sites when required.
  • Work independently to manage your workload and ensure your van and workspace are well‑stocked with the right tools and parts for maximum first‑time fix success.
  • Support the wider business by participating in the on‑call rota when required.

What You’ll Bring

  • A proactive and solution‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in power engineering or a similar industry.
  • Experience in generator maintenance and repair, ideally within a temporary power or similar environment.
  • Your own tools (essential) and a full UK driving licence.
