If you’re a skilled, hands-on technician with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and respected power solutions team. At CES Power, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, testing and deploying power equipment, including cables, BSU units, distribution boards, generators and battery systems. Based at our West London depot, the role offers a varied mix of workshop and site-based work, fault-finding, servicing and installation. You’ll be trusted as a technical expert, working independently and as part of a wider technical team to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and ready for deployment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Testing, servicing, maintaining and repairing cables, BSU units and distribution boards
- Servicing and preparing generators and battery systems at the depot and on customer sites
- Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
- Deploying and installing equipment on customer sites as required
- Safely towing generators and battery units to and from sites
- Carrying out planned and reactive work to a high standard, delivering excellent customer service
- Working independently to prioritise workload and achieve strong first-time fix rates
- Escalating complex issues to the Technical Team when required
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and company procedures
What You’ll Bring:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant industry experience
- Proven experience working with power distribution equipment, generators or similar systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
- Full UK driving licence with towing experience (essential)
- A professional, customer-focused approach
