We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Mental Health Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will play a key role in helping service users maintain their independence, improve their wellbeing, and work towards recovery goals in line with personalised care plans.
Key Responsibilities:

Build positive, supportive relationships with service users, promoting trust and engagement.

Assist with day-to-day tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, and attending appointments.

Support service users in developing life skills, confidence, and coping strategies.

Monitor and report changes in mental health, behaviour, or physical wellbeing to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Promote a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity, rights, and individuality of all service users.

Encourage social interaction, participation in activities, and community involvement.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards.

Work collaboratively with mental health nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Support crisis intervention plans where necessary and follow safeguarding protocols.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a mental health or care support role (preferred but not essential).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compassionate, patient, and non-judgemental approach.

Ability to stay calm and act appropriately in challenging or high-pressure situations.
-
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.

Need to have Restraint training ! (e.g., PMVA, CPI, or MAPA).

Need immunisations (Hep – B , MMR , TB) !
Working Hours:

Full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts available.
-
May include evenings, weekends, night shifts, and bank holidays.
