Job Description The role will involve completing electrical tenders from start to completion and presenting the tenders for review by the Bid Director before final submission to their clients. The successful Electrical Estimator will require a good knowledge of electrical design and experience of estimating both pre-design and design and build projects. Key Responsibilities Able to query Tender documents and gain clarity by the most appropriate method including using Request for Further information and Technical Queries Undertake technical / commercial appraisals of supplier and subcontractor quotations Demonstrable ability to analyse drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentations to prepare time, product, cost and labour estimates using specialised methodologies Identifying value engineering solutions to create a commercial advantage over competitors Sending out enquiries for all required materials and liaising with specialist sub‐ contractors to ensure compliance with the tender documents Able to determine the necessity of site visits to understand build ability and risk Preparing offer letters detailing tender qualifications and particulars.
