This part-time, on-call position may involve multiple deliveries, extended driving, early-morning or evening assignments, and occasional overnight travel.
Drivers must follow approved routes and operating procedures, maintain accurate shipment records, and communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, military-site representatives, and Cervello management.
Use of the Stratum-X Driver App is mandatory for every assigned cargo movement.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect assigned cargo from LHR cargo facilities, freight handlers, or other designated collection points.
- Safely transport and deliver cargo to authorised military installations throughout the UK.
- Verify cargo, seals, packaging, shipping documents, and chain-of-custody information.
- Follow approved routes, schedules, delivery instructions, and military-site access requirements.
- Protect cargo from loss, theft, damage, tampering, and unauthorised access.
- Maintain proof of collection, proof of delivery, mileage records, receipts, and other required documentation.
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using approved equipment.
- Complete required vehicle inspections and keep assigned vehicles clean, fuelled, secure, and ready for operation.
- Immediately report delays, accidents, vehicle problems, damaged cargo, or documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain professional conduct and protect confidential and operational information.
