CERU is a vibrant Eastern Mediterranean-inspired restaurant group known for delicious flavours, warm hospitality, and a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. We’re looking for a hands-on, service-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager who leads from the floor and sets the standard every shift.

The Role

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, your mission is to protect and deliver exceptional service standards by leading from the front. This is not an office role. You will run a section every shift and be fully competent across all front-of-house positions including waiter, bartender and food runner. You are expected to master the basics first. We do not promote managers who cannot execute flawless service themselves. You will support the Restaurant Manager in driving performance, maintaining pace, motivating the team and ensuring every guest receives consistent, high-energy hospitality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong waiter first, with natural leadership ability
  • Confident running busy sections in high-volume service
  • Comfortable leading from the floor, not from the side
  • Sales-focused and commercially aware
  • Calm under pressure and decisive
  • Detail-driven and standards-oriented
  • Open to feedback and able to coach others
  • Professional, reliable and accountable
  • Flexible to work across our three Central London sites

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Running a section every shift
  • Leading service alongside the Restaurant Manager
  • Supporting training and coaching of the team
  • Driving upselling and revenue
  • Managing guest feedback and service recovery
  • Maintaining energy, pace and consistency
  • Ensuring Ceru standards are delivered with no shortcuts

What We Offer

  • £48,000–£55,000 package including Tronc
  • Full-time hours, average 48 hours per week
  • A structured, high-performance environment
  • Clear standards and expectations
  • Opportunities to grow with new openings
  • A workplace built on accountability, integrity and effort
  • Work life balance
  • Meals on Duty
  • Staff discount across all sites
  • Employee Wellbeing Programme

Why Join CERU?

You will be part of a disciplined, high-energy team where standards matter and performance is recognised. If you believe great managers are built from mastering service fundamentals and leading from the floor, CERU offers the platform to grow and earn well doing it. Ready to step up? Apply now.
