Certus Recruitment is working with an established financial SaaS business entering an exciting new phase of growth. Our client provides a cloud-based financial management and accounting platform, helping mid-market organisations modernise their finance operations and move beyond restrictive legacy systems.
With 20 years behind the business, a proven SaaS product and an established customer base, they are now investing in their next stage of expansion – bringing a genuine scale-up mentality to an already successful software company.
We're looking for a commercially minded Account Manager who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and becoming a genuine trusted advisor to clients. This isn't a passive customer support role. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of existing mid-market customers, working with CFOs, finance teams and operational leaders to increase adoption, uncover expansion opportunities, strengthen retention and develop longer-term commercial relationships.
The role:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing mid-market customers
- Identify opportunities to grow recurring revenue within key accounts
- Develop relationships with CFOs, finance leaders and other senior stakeholders
- Move customers towards longer-term strategic partnerships
- Understand clients' evolving finance and operational requirements
- Develop proactive retention strategies and help minimise churn
- Coordinate with technical and internal teams to ensure successful delivery
- Become a trusted advisor rather than simply a point of contact
We're looking for:
- Previous Account Management, Key Account Management or similar commercial experience
- A strong "farmer" mentality – someone who genuinely enjoys developing and growing existing relationships
- Evidence of identifying and converting expansion opportunities within accounts
- Confidence engaging C-suite and senior operational stakeholders
- Strong commercial and relationship-management skills
- Experience within financial SaaS, FinTech, accounting software, ERP or other complex B2B software would be particularly relevant
- An understanding of accounting principles – or the ability to learn quickly enough to communicate confidently with CFOs and finance teams
- A proactive, autonomous approach – this isn't a micromanaged environment
You’ll work predominantly remotely, with weekly time in the London Waterloo office, alongside some UK travel to develop important customer relationships.
25 days' holiday
Pension
Laptop
Phone/internet expenses
3 paid charity days
This could be a great opportunity for someone currently working in Financial SaaS or B2B software Account Management who wants more ownership of their accounts and the opportunity to play a visible role in the next stage of a growing software business.
