We are seeking a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Coventry. This role involves working closely with pupils with additional needs, providing 1:1 and small group support to help them access learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support learning across the classroom and adapted activities
  • Assist with EHCP targets and individual learning plans
  • Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting)
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties (desirable)
  • Level 2/3 TA qualification preferred but not essential
