Certus Education are working with a specialist SEND school in Northfield, Birmingham who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children who require extra support in their learning and development within a nurturing and supportive school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in the classroom
  • Assisting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, or complex needs
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored learning support

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN / SEND
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs is desirable
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
