We are currently working with a secondary school in Northampton seeking an Art & Design Technology Technician to support their busy and creative department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting practical lessons across Art and DT.
The Role:
- Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for Art and DT lessons
- Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
- Maintaining tools, machinery, and classroom resources
- Ensuring workshops and classrooms are clean, organised, and safe
- Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
- Supporting displays and preparation of student work where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a school, workshop, or similar environment (desirable)
- Practical skills (e.g. woodwork, textiles, art materials, basic machinery use)
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Aware of health & safety procedures
- A proactive and reliable approach
