We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support within a specialist SEN school based in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and are looking for a long-term role starting in September within a supportive environment.
The role will involve supporting pupils with non-verbal Autism and complex needs on both a 1:1 and 2:1 basis. Personal care may be required where needed.
Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 08:30 – 12:30
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within SEN schools
- Experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs
- Confident working within 1:1 and 2:1 settings
- Makaton experience desirable
- CPI, Team Teach or equivalent training desirable
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
This position is initially temporary with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. All applicants will be subject to relevant safeguarding and compliance checks in line with safer recruitment practice.
