We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school based in Coventry from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual looking for a long-term role within a supportive and rewarding environment.

The role will involve teaching and supporting pupils with non-verbal Autism and complex needs, working closely with support staff to provide tailored learning and emotional support to students across the school day. The school is open to both qualified and unqualified teachers, providing candidates have strong previous experience working within SEN settings.

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:30 – 12:30

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within SEN schools is essential
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs
  • QTS desirable but not essential
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour where required
  • Makaton experience desirable
  • CPI, Team Teach or equivalent training desirable
  • Passionate, patient and adaptable approach

This role is initially temporary with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks in line with safer recruitment procedures.
