The Robotics Software Engineering Manager at Rosenxt leads and develops a multidisciplinary engineering team, driving performance, growth, and a strong collaborative culture. The role focuses on organizational leadership, aligning team objectives with company strategy, and ensuring effective delivery through structured processes and cross-functional coordination.

What you bring

  • 5+ years in an engineering leadership or team lead role, including direct people management (regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and structured career development).
  • Demonstrated experience hiring and scaling robotics software teams, from defining roles and running interviews to onboarding and integrating new team members.
  • Proven ability to establish and refine team processes (e.g., planning, road-mapping, estimation, delivery tracking) that enable predictable, high-quality output in robotics projects.
  • 5+ years of experience developing production-grade robotics software in domains such as perception, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, or control, ideally across both research and industrial environments.
  • Experience collaborating with universities, research labs, or robotics institutes and translating research outcomes into robust, deployable software for real-world applications.
  • Hands-on experience with real-world deployment of robotic or autonomous systems (e.g., industrial, underwater, logistics, or field robotics), with an understanding of safety, reliability, and operational constraints.
  • Familiarity with robotics software ecosystems and frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS 2) and modern software engineering practices in C++ and/or Python, including testing, simulation, and data-driven validation.
  • Ability to translate company and research roadmaps into clear team plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in distributed, cross-functional environments, comfortable representing the team in collaborations with research institutions, industry partners, and internal product/operations functions.
  • High adaptability, initiative, and a continuous-improvement mindset, with a track record of identifying capability or organizational gaps and addressing them through hiring, coaching, upskilling, or restructuring.
