Salary: £31,000 per annum (increasing to £32,000 per annum post successfully passing probation)

Hours: 37.5 hours

About the role:

The Family Support Practitioner will work alongside the Family Support Manager to support local managers and teams to strengthen and develop their support to people and their families. Provide emotional and practical support to families through targeted and, where needed, longer-term support.

  • Reduce carer isolation and increase peer support by connecting families and building networks.
  • Support families to understand their rights and available support options.

About you:

To be a Family Support Practitioner at Certitude, the following are essential:

  • Experience of supporting families of people with learning disabilities, mental health, or autistic people, including families who have experienced trauma in trying to access the right support for their relative.
  • An understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities, including those with complex health needs, additional mental health needs and who have experienced trauma.
