About the role: The role of the Support Worker is to provide specialist expertise and support to facilitate teams in achieving person-centred outcomes for the people we support, some of whom have profound and complex needs, to maximise the individual’s independence and enable them to be active in their communities.

Duties will include:

  • Making a difference in the lives of those you support
  • Help to use a range of recovery-oriented and person-centred planning tools
  • Ensure all plans and records relating to the people we support are accurate and up to date
  • Support with everyday tasks to maximise the individual’s independence
  • Work in a consistent and positive way with local managers and other team members to ensure people get a great service
  • Undertake various levels of personal care and manual handling

About you: To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you have experience for this role in:

  • Supporting people who may challenge (verbally, physically), particularly people on the autistic spectrum
  • Keeping calm and confident in challenging situations
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support
  • Experience of enabling people with a learning disability/autism to take positive risks in their lives
  • Possess a manual driving license and be able to drive a 7-seater van
  • Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda

You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
