A Senior Network Engineer (DV Cleared) is required for our Government Client to support various tiered systems and a wider team of skilled technicians supporting various Government platforms and services. You will also support business as usual (BAU) and project deliverables where required.

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on high availability, performance, and resilience. This role provides advanced technical leadership across routing, switching, firewall administration, and network security operations. You will act as an escalation point for complex issues involving Cisco switching platforms, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls, Catepan encryption devices.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

  • To possess current DV Level Security Clearance *essential*
  • Experience in support and design in highly secure airgapped environments.
  • Cisco Switching, Routing technologies
  • Network Security technologies - IPsec, SSL, VPNs, PKI
  • Cisco Firepower/ASA Firewall installation and Administration
  • Palo Alto Firewalls/Panorama installation and administration.
  • Knowledge of NSX-T platform
  • Knowledge of Virtual Environments and virtual network solutions (e.g. VMWare)
  • Network monitoring and configuration tools - SolarWinds NCM, PRTG, KIWI
  • Encryption Devices - Catapans, Bulldogs
  • Cisco VTC technologies, CUCM, CSM, CMM, Expressways, Deskpro's
  • Copper/Fibre Optic patching
  • Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPAS, Certificate Services
  • Software Defined Access - Dot1X, IBNS 2.0

Desirable would be any of the following:

  • NIST hardening guidelines
  • ITIL Processes
  • Service Now
  • BeCrypt OS
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Diodes

Duties include:

  • Enterprise LAN/WAN design, optimisation, and lifecycle management
  • Firewall, IPS/IDS, and network security policy management
  • Advanced troubleshooting of network performance, connectivity, and security issues
  • Leading network modernisation, migration, and automation initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with security frameworks and organisational standards
  • Collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions

Please be advised that due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be on the client site full time five days per week (No remote working).
