The successful candidate will take ownership of managing and optimising a fleet of MacBooks within a secure, regulated environment. This is a delivery-focused role requiring both strategic thinking and practical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a fleet of MacBook devices across the organisation

  • Implement and manage device lifecycle processes using modern endpoint management tools
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage and maintain device configurations
  • Administer and optimise Jamf (essential) and other endpoint management solutions
  • Provide end-user support for Mac devices, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently
  • Proactively identify issues, design solutions, and implement improvements without heavy supervision
  • Deliver outcomes in a results-driven environment where objectives are defined, but execution is self-led
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to deliver a high-quality IT support experience
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience managing MacBook fleets in an enterprise environment (non-negotiable)
  • Deep understanding of macOS 'under the hood', including command-line configuration and system-level troubleshooting
  • Strong expertise in Jamf (administration, configuration, and deployment at scale)
  • Proven experience working with:
    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Zscaler
    • Microsoft support environments
  • Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches to endpoint management
  • Background in IT support / end-user computing environments, with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience across multiple organisations (non-junior profile)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with end users

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in regulated industries such as:
    • Healthcare (e.g. NHS)
    • Telecommunications
    • Finance, product, or design-focused organisations
  • Exposure to environments with strong cybersecurity and IT governance practices
  • Experience working in both small and large organisations (excluding early-stage startups)

Personal Attributes:

  • Proactive, self-starting, and delivery-focused
  • Comfortable working with minimal direction and taking ownership of outcomes
  • A hands-on problem solver who can propose and implement solutions independently
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Patient and user-focused, with a strong service mindset
  • 'Gets things done' attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Team & Environment:

  • Small, collaborative team (6-8 members)
  • High-performing environment with a strong focus on security, compliance, and operational excellence
