We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our growing Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part‑qualified accountant or tax professional looking to broaden their experience and take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you'll gain exposure across a diverse range of tax disciplines, including indirect taxes, fuel duties, compliance, risk management and process improvement, while supporting a business undergoing significant growth and transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other tax returns accurately and on time.
- Supporting compliance activities across Fuel Duty, RDCO, Plastic Packaging Tax and CIS.
- Assisting with corporation tax processes and wider tax compliance requirements.
- Analysing data and identifying opportunities to strengthen tax controls, reporting and processes.
- Monitoring compliance risks and supporting the implementation of effective controls.
- Providing practical tax guidance and support to colleagues across the business.
- Supporting tax reporting and compliance activities across multiple business entities.
- Assisting with process improvement initiatives and helping to drive efficiencies within the Tax function.
- Developing knowledge of HMRC‑regulated compliance areas, including specialist fuel‑related taxation requirements.
- Working collaboratively with Finance and wider business stakeholders to ensure tax obligations are met effectively.

- A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
- Previous experience in a tax, finance or accounting environment.
- Knowledge of indirect taxes, VAT or HMRC compliance requirements.
- Experience analysing financial or compliance‑related data.
