We have a position for an Engineering Business Partner to join our Team. Field based: Southern Region. Excellent salary + Car.
As Engineering Business Partner you will manage engineering services and programmes within the allocated business units and alignment with senior management teams for strategical planning and delivery of the engineering service.
- Manage engineering services and programmes within the allocated business units.
- Plan, organise, co-ordinate and structure all maintenance and repair works at sites under your responsibility.
- Ensure works are carried out in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
- Provide competent and comprehensive engineering management and support to senior/regional operations teams within the company.
- Responsible for ensuring assets are in a safe and useable condition throughout the business function.
- Develop and deliver strategical plans for assigned business areas for engineering incorporating business objectives and strategies.
- Develop standards, specifications and application for the business unit assets including maintenance strategy and investment scopes.
- Provide a comprehensive and task based way of working to support senior operations teams and deliver engineering requirements efficiently.
- Provide clear overall strategical inputs to the engineering team for the business units to assist in direction and goals for the engineering team.
- Assist in the development of capital expenditure plans for fuel depots and terminals.
- Effectively manage the computerised maintenance management system, ensuring all preventative planned maintenance tasks, breakdowns and remedial works are managed and acted upon in a timely manner.
- Review and understand inspection, maintenance and engineering reports, identifying remedial works and effectively planning and action tracking required works through to completion.
- Ensure preventative planned maintenance task schedules are appropriately set for respective sites, ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance is maintained at all times.
- Assist in the development and review of maintenance policies & procedures.
- Provide and deliver detailed scope and maintenance plans for assets within the business unit.
- Carry out assurance reviews and assessments on key/safety critical assets within the business function.
- Responsible for engineering contractor management throughout the business unit, reviewing RAMS and ensuring works are planned specific to site.
- Supervise high risk works and permit to work authority for the business unit.
- Provide competent engineering management to energy solutions business depots.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, provide reporting, analytical data and solutions to tasks and strategy issues.
- Align with senior/regional operations teams day to day to support and manage engineering within the function.
- Communicate and align with “Core Values” and business objectives within the team.
- Coach and support staff within the business unit.
- Manage contractor interface with operations within the business unit.
- Develop, monitor and manage works within the R&M engineering budgets.
- Support the Engineering Manager in the management and forecasting of R&M budgets.
- Develop detailed work scopes to allow works to be accurately priced/tendered, ensuring best prices are secured.
- Ensure relevant financial approvals are received as required to deliver tasks within defined timescales.
- Coordinate trend analysis and obtain relevant data for strategical input to the head of engineering.
- Provide support and assistance to the Head of Engineering for overall engineering management and delivery.
- Responsible for contractor management, review of RAMS and permitting arrangements, contractor assurance and interface with operations.
- Manage and ensure the safe delivery of high risk activities and hazardous works.
- Lead a positive Health and Safety culture in line with Engineering Safety F1rst principles.
- Provide competent and technical assurances for engineering works.
- Review engineering HSE performance within assigned business units and provide feedback on improvements.
- Responsible for personal safety, that of the team, colleagues, contractors, visitors and customers within the workplace.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
- Hold a relevant engineering qualification within either a specific discipline.
- Successful track record and experience in management of engineering within a hazardous industry.
- Hold a H&S qualification or requisite expertise.
- Experience of Engineering within a high hazardous environment.
- Ability to develop standards and specifications against legislation and industry best practices.
