As part of our Finance function, you will be responsible for managing the monthly and annual accounting requirements for a subsidiary of Certas Energy UK Ltd and ensuring adherence to the Financial Control Framework. The role supports accurate financial reporting, strong governance and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain operational and financial excellence.
Key Deliverables
- Management of all accounting activities within the function
- Coordinate the monthly financial controls process
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L and Balance Sheets
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and completion of the Month End Control Checklist
- Manage the Risk and Control Framework including standard operating procedures
- Manage the budget and forecast process
- Ensure adherence to local tax requirements including preparation of VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax returns
- Manage the year end process including preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Work closely with local management to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage third party requests including internal and external audits
- Identify and implement efficiency saving opportunities
- Provide a high standard of customer service to internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure high levels of service delivery
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to build effective working relationships
- Present financial information clearly and credibly to senior management
