About the Role

The Head of Commercial Projects, Audit & Training is responsible for leading the team and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of high-value, complex fuel infrastructure projects (e.g., Hinkley Point C, BBV, Sizewell C). This includes strategic tender origination, commercial structuring, operational execution, and risk-optimized contract management. The role also involves driving large-scale internal transformation initiatives to enhance commercial capabilities and market positioning.

This position requires expertise in multi-disciplinary project lifecycles, ensuring seamless integration between engineering, supply chain, operational, legal, and commercial teams. It demands deep knowledge of fuel market regulations, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management in high-stakes environments.

Additionally, the role owns the audit and training functions, analyzing KPIs to enforce discipline and continuous improvement through targeted upskilling. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of high-value fuel infrastructure projects from tender to operation, managing risks and contractual performance.

  • Drive enterprise transformation programs, including sales model redesigns, digital tools, and low-carbon fuel adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Manage post-M&A integrations, harmonizing systems and processes.
  • Lead audit and training teams to improve sales effectiveness and KPI adherence.
  • Analyze performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain data governance standards for CRM and pipeline accuracy.
  • Oversee financial performance by ensuring audit and training support budget integrity.
